Super Family Fun Day – Australia Day Magic with Bubbles!
Australia Day this year was one for the memory books!
We packed up the glitter, loaded the braid wall, fired up Bubbles and headed off to the Super Family Fun Day to join our wonderful friends from Australian Amusements — and what a day it turned out to be!
Weather
Blue skies, fluffy clouds and sunshine pouring across the oval. It was the perfect kind of summer day — warm enough for ice creams and bubbles, but breezy enough to keep the glitter flowing instead of melting.
Show Vibes
From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was electric.
• Giant inflatables
• Colourful carnival rides
• Showbags
• Kids running with fairy floss
• Music pumping across the grounds
• And bubbles floating through the air
There was something magical about seeing families spread out on picnic rugs, laughing together and celebrating community.
Australian Amusements
Working alongside our friends from Australian Amusements is always such a joy. Their rides lit up the grounds with colour and excitement — bumper cars spinning, giant slides towering, and smiling kids everywhere you looked.
Even Bubbles got in on the action…
We swear she was eyeing off the bumper cars
And that giant inflatable slide? Let’s just say she looked very tempted!
Braids & Sparkles
Our chair was full from the first little princess to the last happy customer of the day.
We created:
✨ Bright festival braids
✨ Neon pink and teal combinations
✨ Long double plaits with tassels
✨ Glitter parts sparkling in the sunshine
One little sweetheart strutted across the grass in her pink dress, her braids bouncing behind her like she owned the showground. That confident walk? That’s why we do this.
Another gorgeous girl stood proudly in front of Bubbles at night, glitter shining under the lights — pure joy on her face.
Bubbles Had Fun Too
Parked proudly among the rides, Bubbles looked right at home.
With bubbles floating past her wrap, kids stopping to wave at her big eyes, and families snapping photos, she truly felt like part of the entertainment.
We might even have imagined her sneaking into the bumper car pavilion after dark… but we’ll keep that story for another day.
What We Love Most
Days like this remind us why we chose this life on the road.
It’s not just about braids.
It’s about confidence.
It’s about laughter.
It’s about community.
It’s about families making memories together.
Australia Day at the Super Family Fun Day was full of colour, connection and celebration — and we are so grateful to have been part of it.
