Mermaidia Braids Sparkles at the Wangaratta Show – Year Four!

What an incredible weekend at the Wangaratta Show! Mermaidia Braids returned for the fourth year in a row, and this year was all about sunshine, colour, and community. The weather couldn’t have been better: Friday was sunny and 22°C, and Saturday brought more sunshine at 23°C – perfect conditions for festival braids and fun.

Friday: A Day Full of Colour and Creativity

From the moment we opened at 9 am, the braiding station was buzzing! Our gazebo was a rainbow of braids, ponytails, and accessories, and the energy was electric. Families stopped by to choose their favorite colours, and we loved seeing the excitement as each braid came to life. The sunny skies made everything sparkle, and the vibe was pure festival magic.

Saturday: Familiar Faces and New Styles

Saturday was just as amazing! We welcomed so many returning families – it’s always special to see familiar faces year after year. There were also plenty of new visitors eager to try out bold braids and colourful ponytails. The creativity was off the charts, with styles ranging from pastel blends to vibrant neon combinations. Our stall looked like a dream with braids hanging in every shade imaginable!
