Mermaidia Braids Lights Up the Royal Geelong Show: Sunshine, Sparkles, and Style
Our third year at the Royal Geelong Show was nothing short of spectacular! Across four days, we brought colour, creativity, and braiding magic to one of Victoria’s biggest events. The weather kept us on our toes, but that didn’t stop the fun:
Thursday: Sunny with heavy wind gusts, 30°C
Friday: Sunny with light wind, 22°C
Saturday: Sunny with light wind, 20°C
Sunday: Sunny with heavy wind gusts, 22°C
Thursday – A Warm Start
The show kicked off under bright sunshine and strong winds. Despite the gusts, we set up our vibrant stall and welcomed early visitors. It was a great day for festival braids, and we loved seeing bold colour choices that matched the summer vibe.
Friday – Perfect Conditions
Friday brought ideal weather and steady crowds. Families and friends stopped by to add a pop of colour to their day, and the energy was fantastic. Our braiding station was buzzing from morning to evening, with styles ranging from pastel blends to neon showstoppers.
Saturday – Creativity at Its Best
Saturday was all about fun and flair! With cooler temperatures and light winds, we had the perfect conditions for braiding. We saw incredible creativity from our visitors, including matching braids for siblings and friends. The smiles said it all – this was a day to remember.
Sunday – A Sparkling Finish
The final day came with sunshine and strong winds, but nothing could dampen the excitement. We wrapped up the weekend with stunning braids and ponytails, and even caught the fireworks lighting up the night sky above our stall – a magical way to end the show!
