Moss Vale Show – Sunshine, Friendship & Lessons in Resilience 🌤️💖

This past weekend we had the pleasure of attending the Moss Vale Show for the very first time, with Michael and Michelle proudly representing Mermaidia Braids. While the skies delivered perfect weather all weekend, and the event was full of smiles and celebration, this show turned out to be one of our toughest yet.

The show ran across three days:

• Friday from 9am to 9:30pm

• Saturday from 9am to 10:30pm

• Sunday from 9am to 4pm

Despite the amazing atmosphere and fantastic entertainment, we were unfortunately placed in a very tricky location—one that attendees simply didn’t come down to. As a result, our usually buzzing stall was quieter than ever, and for the first time in 86 shows, we walked away having made a loss.

It was heartbreaking, especially knowing how much energy, sparkle, and love we always bring to every event. But not every show can be a winner – and as tough as it is, we see this as part of the journey.

That said, there were still plenty of silver linings. We met some truly amazing food vendors who were placed nearby, and their kindness, humour, and warmth helped lift our spirits. One of the best things about doing what we do is meeting new people, sharing stories, and building connections that last well beyond the weekend.

To the Moss Vale community – thank you for having us, and to our new vendor friends – we’re so grateful we crossed paths. While it wasn’t the show we’d hoped for, it reminded us that the heart of Mermaidia Braids isn’t just in the sales – it’s in the people we meet and the memories we create.

We’ll keep moving forward, more determined than ever, with glitter in our hair and gratitude in our hearts. 💪✨
