Albury Show 2025: Sunshine, Sparkles, and Braiding Bliss

Mermaidia Braids returned to the Albury Show for another unforgettable weekend, and this year was all about contrasts – from gentle drizzle to glorious sunshine! Here’s how the weather shaped our two-day adventure:

• Friday: Overcast skies with light drizzle, 20°C

• Saturday: Perfect sunshine, hot and calm, 29°C

Friday – A Gentle Start

The show began under grey skies and a light drizzle, but that didn’t stop the braiding magic! Families braved the weather to add a splash of colour to their day, and we loved creating vibrant festival braids and ponytails that brightened up the overcast backdrop. It was a slower pace, giving us time to chat and share laughs with visitors.

Saturday – Sunshine and Sparkle

Saturday was the star of the weekend! With clear skies, no wind, and warm temperatures, the atmosphere was electric. Our stall was buzzing from morning to evening as we created dazzling braids and bold ponytails for show-goers. The creativity was incredible – from rainbow blends to pastel perfection – and the smiles said it all. This was one of those days that reminds us why we love what we do!
