106. Ballarat Show 2025
Mermaidia Braids at the Ballarat Show 2025: Wind, Drizzle, and Colourful Magic
Our second year at the Ballarat Show was one to remember! Despite challenging weather conditions, Mermaidia Braids brought colour, sparkle, and creativity to the showgrounds. Here’s how the weekend unfolded:
Friday: Overcast skies, light drizzle, and high winds, 20°C
Saturday: Overcast with light drizzle, strong winds, 10°C (felt like 4°C!)
Friday – Battling the Breeze
The show kicked off under grey skies and gusty winds, but that didn’t stop us from creating stunning festival braids and vibrant extension ponytails. Our stall was a rainbow of colour against the gloomy backdrop, and every braid added a little sunshine to the day.
Saturday – Cold but Colourful
Saturday brought even colder conditions, but the enthusiasm of our visitors kept us warm! Families and friends braved the chill to get their braids done, and we loved seeing the creativity shine through. From bold neon blends to soft pastel tones, every style was a work of art.
Thank You, Ballarat!
We’re so grateful to everyone who visited us despite the wild weather. Your smiles and excitement made the weekend unforgettable. The Ballarat Show is always a special event, and this year reminded us of the resilience and joy of this amazing community.
Looking Ahead
We’re already counting down to next year! If you missed us this time, don’t worry – we’ll be back with even more braiding magic.
