Mermaidia Braids at the Lilydale Show 2025: Sunshine, Showers, and Sparkling Styles

This year’s Lilydale Show was a mix of sunshine, drizzle, and plenty of braiding magic! Mermaidia Braids returned to add colour and creativity to the showgrounds, and despite the changing weather, the weekend was full of fun and unforgettable moments.

• Saturday: Overcast with late drizzle in the afternoon, otherwise perfectly sunny at 24°C

• Sunday: Overcast with heavy showers and medium winds, 12°C

Saturday – A Bright Start with a Touch of Drizzle

Saturday began with beautiful sunshine and a lively crowd. Our stall was buzzing as families and friends stopped by for festival braids and extension ponytails. Even when the drizzle arrived later in the day, the atmosphere stayed upbeat, and the braiding magic continued without missing a beat.

Sunday – Rain Can’t Stop the Sparkle

Sunday brought heavy showers and gusty winds, but that didn’t dampen the spirit of the Lilydale Show! We kept the braids flowing and loved seeing visitors brave the rain for their touch of Mermaidia sparkle. The creativity and enthusiasm from everyone made the day truly special.
