Fairfield Easter Fair – Our Biggest, Brightest, and Longest Event Yet! 🐣🎡✨
Wow. Just WOW! The Fairfield Easter Fair was an absolute whirlwind of colour, fun, fireworks, and festive braiding – and we’re still catching our breath! This was our first time attending in partnership with Australian Amusements, and it was hands down the biggest and longest event Mermaidia Braids has ever done.
Over six epic days, we laughed, sparkled, danced, and created magical hair for hundreds of festival-goers – all while experiencing the true spirit of Easter fun in the heart of Fairfield. Let’s dive into the highlights!
🌟 Day 1 – Thursday 17th April (2pm–9pm)
Weather: 25°C, sunny with high winds

Our very first day kicked off with a beautiful start. During the Quiet Hour (2–3pm), everything slowed down for sensory-friendly fun – a lovely touch. The day stayed calm until fireworks lit up the night at 8:30pm.

🌟 Day 2 – Friday 18th April (10am–9pm)
Weather: 25°C, absolutely perfect

Good Friday brought 18,000 visitors through the gates! The place was buzzing from morning to night. We were run off our feet and loving every minute!

🌟 Day 3 – Saturday 19th April (10am–9pm)
Weather: 25–30°C, sunny and stunning

Another 18,000 people through and honestly… INSANELY busy! We didn’t stop all day, right up until close. The energy, the colours, the crowds – unforgettable.

🌟 Day 4 – Sunday 20th April (10am–9pm)
Weather: 30°C, another perfect day

Easter Sunday was another huge hit with 14,000 visitors soaking up the sunshine and festival joy.

🌟 Day 5 – Monday 21st April (10am–9pm)
Weather: 25°C, light winds, gorgeous

Easter Monday brought us another massive crowd – and although we were starting to feel the fatigue, we pushed through with smiles and sparkles(and a lot of lollies - well Michelle did anyway, lol)!

🌧️ Day 6 – Tuesday 22nd April (10am–9pm)
Weather: 22°C, rain and heavy wind

The final day! Despite wild weather, and our marquee ripping due to the high winds. The morning crowd surprised us, braving the rain for one last day of fun. Fireworks were bumped forward to 8pm, and while numbers dropped, spirits stayed high.

💫 Final Thoughts
The Fairfield Easter Fair was unlike anything we’ve ever done – and we LOVED it. From fireworks every night to thousands of happy faces, this event was truly a celebration of community, culture, and Easter joy.
To our incredible clients, new friends, returning visitors, and fellow vendors – thank you for making this show so magical. We especially want to thank Australian Amusements for having us and giving us the opportunity to be part of something so huge and meaningful.
We made memories, met amazing people, and sparkled our way through six days of pure fun. This one’s going in the Mermaidia history books! 💖
