🌊✨ Yarrawonga Powerboat Spectacular & Fair 2025 – What a Weekend! ✨🌊
We’ve just wrapped up our third year attending the Yarrawonga Powerboat Spectacular & Fair, and what can we say? It was another vibrant weekend filled with sunshine, smiles, and so much sparkle.
Set on the beautiful Lake Mulwala foreshore, this event is always a favourite for the Mermaidia Braids team. The roar of the powerboats, the excited crowds, and the laid-back atmosphere make it such a joy to return to each year. Here's a little recap of how the 3-day event went for us!
☀️ Friday 25th April – ANZAC Day Reflections and Braids
Although we couldn’t start trading until 1pm due to the ANZAC Day commemorations, it was a warm and sunny afternoon with a breezy 25°C.
Michelle and Michael held the fort and made the most of the short trading time, completing:

It was a lovely, respectful start to the weekend and we were so grateful to be part of it.
☀️ Saturday 26th April – Sunshine, Sparkle & Return Clients
The forecast called for storms, but surprise! Sunshine and light cloud cover made it a beautiful, calm day—25°C with no wind.
Jordan joined the team, and the braiding never stopped!
We were so excited to welcome many returning clients—some who’ve made Mermaidia Braids a Yarrawonga tradition.

Crowds were a little lighter than previous years—likely due to the earlier bad weather forecast—but the vibe? Still absolutely electric!
🌤 Sunday 27th April – Slower Pace, Still Sparkling
The final day brought another perfect forecast—sunny and 25°C with a light breeze. It was a little quieter overall, but that just gave us more time to chat with families and soak in the atmosphere.

We always love being part of the Yarrawonga Powerboat Spectacular & Fair. It’s not just about the braids—it's about the joy, colour, and confidence we see in every smile. This event has truly become a special part of our Mermaidia Braids journey, and we can't wait to return again next year.
