🌿 Celebrating Culture and Community at Mungabareena Wodonga – NAIDOC Week 2025 🌿
On Monday, 7th July 2025, we had the honour of being part of the Mungabareena Wodonga NAIDOC Week celebrations — and what a day it was!
Despite the chilly 11-degree weather and cloudy skies, the atmosphere was vibrant and full of warmth, as community members gathered to celebrate culture, connection, and the spirit of NAIDOC Week.
🌀 A Day of Colour and Creativity
We were kept wonderfully busy creating beautiful styles for attendees:
✨ 15 Festival Braids/Natural Braids
✨ 15 Extension Ponytails
✨ 15 Extension Braided Ponytails
✨ 100 Clip-in Plaits
It was incredible to see so many smiles and happy faces as people left our stall with vibrant, colourful hair that reflected the pride and joy of the day.
💫 A Special Event
This private event for NAIDOC Week was not just about hair — it was about coming together, sharing stories, and celebrating the rich culture and history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We felt truly privileged to contribute to such an important occasion and add a bit of sparkle to the day.
A heartfelt thank you to Mungabareena Aboriginal Corporation for inviting us to be part of this beautiful celebration. It’s always an honour to support events that bring communities closer and shine a light on culture, strength, and unity.
