🌺 Mungabareena Wangaratta – NAIDOC Week 2025: A Celebration of Culture and Community 🌺

On Tuesday, 8th July 2025, we had the privilege of joining the Mungabareena community in Wangaratta for their NAIDOC Week celebrations — and what a wonderful day it turned out to be!

Though the weather kept us on our toes, with a crisp 11 degrees and cloudy skies, the energy and spirit of the event kept everyone warm. The sense of community and pride was truly inspiring as people gathered to honour the rich culture, resilience, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

✨ A Day of Colour and Smiles
We were thrilled to bring some extra colour and sparkle to the day:

🎀 100 Clip-in Plaits

It was heart-warming to see so many attendees leave our stall with bright, beautiful hairstyles and even brighter smiles. Hair became a canvas for cultural pride and joyful self-expression.

🖤 A Meaningful Event
As always, NAIDOC Week reminds us of the importance of connection, respect, and celebration. It’s a privilege for us to contribute in our small way, helping people feel special and confident while honouring such significant traditions.

A huge thank you to Mungabareena Aboriginal Corporation for including us in this private event. We cherish the opportunity to be part of such meaningful moments and look forward to supporting NAIDOC Week again next year.
